Why is there not a regular shuttle bus from Yeerongpilly station? It is a fair hike for elderly people or those who are not able to walk distances, such as my wife who has had knee problems. If a decision has been made that there will be no public parking, there should be shuttles to the complex as there is at Suncorp Stadium.

I purchased my tickets thinking it would be as accessible as the Aust Open. I am bitterly disappointed with the transport arrangements and the lack of communication being given to patrons. I am amazed to see the large carpark not being utilised to its potential and as a Disabled Ticket holder (Red Card)I have to catch a train and walk long distances. This experience has soured my enthusiasm for tennis in Brisbane. I have a medical condition that limits my walking ability yet each session I attend I have to get from the train station and back - an exhausting and threatening experience. Promises of a shuttle service to and from Yeerongpilly station were not forthcoming yet the press and TV indicated that it was to be.I hope that for 2010 patrons are provided with improved travel options and honest communiaction.

Yes, it's great to have the tennis back in Brisbane. Pity the sails couldn't extend to cover the spectators as well as the players on Showcourts 1&2. And yes we need that CityCst or at least some ferry access. A good day, though.

Extremely poor setup. I live on the Gold Coast and i am so dissappointed. I also bought tickets for my parents (dad disabled) for xmas, now our excitement has turned to stress on how to get there. We don't want public transport... we just want to drive there... does anyone know the nearest place to the centre that we can park??

Hopefully organisers will be able to get the City Cat on board for the future - fantastic way to get to the event.

what about residents of graceville? there is one BCC bus in the morning and none coming home after play is finished. we can catch the train out 2 stops to catch a shuttle bus back past our front door. how daft! the shuttle bus should be picking up enroute between corinda and tennyson. not well thought out.

This is only great news if you live on a train line. We live at Carindale and are used to a great bus shuttle service to and from sporting events. When we purchased tickets we presumed this sort of service would be provided, at the beginning and end of each session. For us to drive to a train station there is either virtually no parking or 2 hour parking so getting there is going to be a major drama and may mean us not bothering next year. To make it worse we bought tickets to the finals for my 83 year old father-in-law for christmas and I now have no idea how we are going to get him there before he is too exhausted to enjoy the game. We would have been happy to pay a premium for a shuttle service or parking for those sessions we are bringing him to, but unless you live on the Beenleigh or Corinda train line there is really no provision for any transport services to the event. Free public transport - Great! Now just add some bus services for people nowhere near a train and it will actually mean something!

I am going to the first night comp and i am disappointed to find that from carindale i need to take two buses to get to the tennis but cannot get home as no bus services run from the tennis at 10pm,i can get a train to southbank but then what, hopefully in the future a service to the major centre eg garden city, carindale, can be introduced
