nice tournament nice setup cant wait till they develop and build up the area. have more things to do ine between tennis. and i think the location of the tennis centre is an issue for public transport as it isnt exactly central and the public transport system in brisbane is not up to scratch, too many changeovers required, which in itself isnt an issue but its hardly seamless.

this year's brisbane international were the best three days spent for me so far this year. i thought the railbus service from corinda to the venue was efficient. the atmosphere was lovely and seeing some of my favourites and well known players was the best part. awesome first tournament, and like everyone else i'm looking forward for what 2010's brisbane international holds :)

We attended the finals and really enjoyed both days so next year we hope to go for the whole week to watch the 'story' play out in full.

Travelling from Carindale and we ended up driving, but would much rather catch a bus from Carindale Shopping Centre as we do for the soccer & cricket (to the Gabba).

Can't wait for 2010! :)

We attended the Thursday night session tickets including the three course meal. The tennis centre is exceptional, the tennis equally as good and the viewing also outstanding. However we were served a meal well below what was acceptable. A real shame and the fact that when we mentioned the poor quality of our meals (my wife and I left half of ours on our plate)the waiter just laughed and continued on his way. Considering the cost of these session tickets it put a real damper on what could have been a perfect night.

Agree with comments above but would also like to see more score boards on the outside courts,at least two on the main courts & one on those used the first couple of days.

HI
fantastic event. Went to both finals. Stadium is outstanding . Agree with previous entry re screens need to be up and running near the food outlets broadcasting games not sponsor ads! Also the lack of seating outside was appalling. considering poeple want to eat and have a rest after travelling there on public transport the lack of seating was a complete oversight. A few and I mean a few plastic chairs scattered did not meet the huge demand. many people sat down on the cement in the shade as there was nowhere else to sit in shade outside doors 1-3. Go to Aussie open and look at the fantasic seating and shade. Any way a fantastic couple of days and I will eb racing to get finals seats again next year.

Its great to see tennis back in Brisbane. A few suggestions for next year to help make the tournament even better. Could you please take into account that Brisbane in January is very hot and humid. More shade around the venue would be appreciated and can something be done to tame the afternoon sun that comes into the arena from around 2.30pm.
Also cool, sunsafe uniforms for the linespeople, etc. would be more appropriate than those heavy trousers and odd-looking navy shirts, zipped right up to the chin, to help promote a summer atmosphere for the tournament.

I attended the semis and finals. Loved the experience - well done to the Tennyson team!
Please consider the following for an even better 2010 tournament:

1. Install large TV screens permanently in the grounds - and hardwired to the electricity system. Those temporary screens you used this year were powered by huge, noisy compressors and you could hear them the whole time even from centre court.

2. Upgrade Tennyson railway station. Have QR divert ALL Shorncliffe trains [which currently finish at South Bank, Corinda or Roma Street] to travel to Corinda via Yerongpilly and Tennyson, replacing the railbus. This would also be patronised by all the residents of Tennyson Reach year-round, not just during tournaments. It would also make it easier for people from ALL rail lines to access the QTC by linking at Roma St [Northern lines], Park Rd [Cleveland line] and Corinda [Ipswich line]. This is a totally plausible solution.

3. Extend CityCat services from St Lucia to Tennyson. Hopefully this is already planned for when the apartments are finished construction.

4. Please include the Draw of the tournament [correct as of Day 1] and a site plan/facilities map in the programme. These were glaring omissions and I ended up with a $9 advertisement brochure.

I'm looking forward to attending many more of your tournaments in the future!

Cheers
