Marion seems so relaxed at this tournament, smiling now and then, and judt quietly going about her tennis. :)

  • Linda Alvarado

It was wonderful seeing that passion and “fight” in Ana! Champions need that hunger to win :)
She’s such a terrific ambassador for women’s tennis and I think she can win Brisbane. Much luck to Ana when she plays Amelie tomorrow!

Souch a great game Amelie – it’s great to see you again in this way – wish you all the best, for the next games, the next tounaments and at least I hope you feel pretty well all the time on the court! Because this is that what we like to see – that you feel good! Greetings from Germany!

great combined event[[ie. Aust. Mens and Womens HArdcourt c'ships at same venue for the first time in 11 years plus]]with suprisingly good % of top 30 players in each event. However we have not yet reached the enormous variety and quality of support services as offered constantly by THE OZ OPEN, yet mistakenly, the powers that be decided to charge stadium centre court fees from monday forward that were equivalent to melbourne in these economic times and at an inaugural event. This philosophy of business approach has greatly reduced attendance figures during day sessions right up to and including friday day session. As a senior coach closely involved in Qld., with the first 4 1/2 years of private coaching for both Isabella Holland and Sam Stosur and currently 13 year old Qld Little Masters Champion Jemimah Waugh, I contend there is a fixable problem with the pricing structure. The outside ground passes[[good 4 day package value]]to see the slightly lesser profiled and performing players, does not compensate for the restrictions that it places on coaches and families to introduce their children as frequently as possible to this much larger , more inspiring and even more glamorous picture [depending on individual motivation ].A $35.00 and $50.00 cat A and B respect. would have increased attendance or demand for seats by 30.to 40%. Learn from this error of lost opportunity. A TENNIS SUPPORTER AND LIFETIME OCCUPATION COACH.

I think Verdasco will win the final, but he’ll have to play with great accuracy for it.
I agree with Ian: most of the top-30 players met in Brisbane.
