Evening session at Pat Rafter Arena, day 3
Gael Monfils and Ana Ivanovic came out with hard-fought wins in Tuesday night’s evening session.In the first match of the night, Frenchman Monfils overcame a stern resistance from American Taylor Dent to beat him by scores of 7-6 (7-1) 6-7 (5-7) 6-2. Serbian Ivanovic also had to work hard until late to defeat Timea Bacsinszky of Switzerland by 6-2 2-6 6-4.
