Sorry, but it always tires me every year when people complain about the TV broadcasting. Why not just attend the event itself. If too far away then travel to your nearest Tennis event to get your fix.

What a fab performance, the game had everything from both sides. At times either could have finished it but the gods of concentration set in. Credit to Justine for the win after the lay off, but equal credit should go to Melinda for beating all those knockers that showed no respect and counted her as a nothing. The girl has power, and a developing mind set to crack the top 10. Obviously a late bloomer but a solid performer on the way up.

Good to see the commentators change their tune in the second set after they incorrectly predicted gloom and doom. Well done to both and what a show for tennis, great to watch even if a few basic errors it made it great viewing for the non tennis player.

Queensland Tennis Centre is a public transport venue and as such it doesn't have any public parking sites. The nearest drop off locations would be next to Yerongpilly train station or in the little roundabout next to where King Arthur Tce begins.

I hope so too…I had to stop watching the match and distract myself with other things around the house to calm my nerves. Anyways I'm glad she's through…

Isn't it annoying (again) from channel 7 to cut this match at 5:30?? it's an insult.

ditto – it brought back memories of so many close matches from the past, but the important thing is that Justine won in the end. I notice she's hitting very hard but very much down the middle of the court. I think she needs to use the angles more but perhaps she's not confident to do that just yet. Here's hoping for another victory against Ivanovic. Well played Justine x
