I think Sarah underestimates the power of playing a top 20 player on Pat Rafter Arena with a full crowd behind you. I'm sure this was a huge factor in allowing John to play some of his best, an opportunity Jason Kubler didnt have. Instead of pitty countrymen against eachother, can't we just support all the efforts by our Australian Players? I'm sure both are deserving of the opportunities being given to them by Tennis Qld & Tennis Aust, the people who are watching them everyday.

I must say you look at johns efforts and last ngiht was a very exhilarating match and you look at Jason Kubler's efforts losing to a nobody comfortably and you question does he really deserve a wildcard in to Australian Open? Well done John nerves looked as if they got to you a bit but you held your game and you wouldn't think you were 307 in the world versing world number 12. I hope you continue with tennis and I'm sure we will see your name in top 10 someday

Ditto to Mikes comment. John Millman played extremely well in the first set and really brought his A-Game. Just a shame he faded in the second set. I'm sure we will see much more of him in the near future
