Are you in Brisbane on Thursday 11 October? If so, get ready for some tennis fun because Queen St Mall will be transformed into Pat Rafter Arena, the home of the Brisbane International, from 10 am to 2 pm to celebrate the upcoming fifth anniversary of the tournament and tickets going on sale.
Tennis fans will be able to participate in a fun array of activities, which includes their very own photo opportunity with the Brisbane International trophies – Roy Emerson Trophy (men’s singles) and Evonne Goolagong-Cawley Trophy (women’s singles).
There will be FREE giveaways – including Brisbane International bandanas, pencils and pencil cases. Plus the Suncorp Sunwise team will be scooting around the CBD on Vespas handing out sun screen to slip, slap, slop on during the upcoming summer of tennis. Street performers will also be in the precinct to entertain the passersby.
Ash & Luttsy from Nova 106.9 are the event hosts and will not doubt provide some comic relief and get involved in the activities – such as a demonstration of kid’s development program MLC Tennis Hot Shot and Cardio Tennis the latest tennis fitness workout, which will take place on the purpose-built mini Pat Rafter Arena.
So don’t sit at your desk this lunch time, come down to Queen Street Mall and get involved in the Brisbane International action on offer.
