Andy Roddick turned in one of his best seasons to date in 2009, winning one title at Memphis and was a finalist at Wimbledon (where he lost a marathon five-setter to Roger Federer), Washington and Doha. He holds the world record for the fastest recorded serve in a match – 249 km/h – and is also known for his powerful ground strokes. A former world No.1, he is a Grand Slam tournament winner (US Open 2003) and has been a finalist on four occasions at majors. A-Rod is one of only four current players to have won more than 500 ATP matches.

Andy, so sorry about this latest set-back with your knee~ I know you are eagerly awaiting your first match and I personally think you have a LONG and very fine career ahead of you! You never disappoint and my heart stopped so many times at last year's Wimbledon I nearly fainted!! I was cheering you on!! You will win another, just keep working hard and staying positive~You are truly a credit to the Red, White and Blue :-)
