Guaranteed smiles at McDonald’s Kids Day

12 December 2018, by Brisbane International Tennis

The Brisbane International is serving up a whole heap of guaranteed smiles and fun at this year’s McDonald’s Kids Day on Sunday December 30. Kids go free with a paying adult – making this the best value family day out all summer holidays!

The world’s best players will interact on court with kids before and after our famous Pat Rafter Arena one hour live spectacular which will feature Australian Idol winner, Stan Walker, exciting entertainers and cartoon favourites such as PJ Mask, Spider-man, Thor, Ant-man and Peppa Pig.

Marvel characters will also roam around the event’s entertainment precinct, the Racquet Club, where kids can play Wreck it or Racquet, try the Obstacle course and dance along to tunes from the Hit 105 stage.

Our world class courts will be handed over to Queensland’s budding new tennis stars with coaches on hand to offer tennis tips and skills during our guided Hot Shots sessions.

Open practice will take place in the afternoon, giving our star struck tennis fans the chance to get up close and personal with our visiting international athletes.

Brisbane International Tournament Director, Cameron Pearson welcomes all families to a day of fun and unique interaction with some of the world’s best known tennis players.

“This year we have worked hard on providing something for all ages, catering for children from 3 years right up to 16 years old. We will have opportunities for kids to get on court with players, hear from the stars about what it takes to make it to the top of the sport and also fill those autograph books,” Mr Pearson said.

“The annual Arena spectacular is going to be particularly special this year with Australian Idol winner, Stan Walker and the most important message is, Kids are free with a paying adult!”

A limited number of autograph books will be handed out at the entrance for children to collect signatures from stars such as former Brisbane champions, Andy Murray, Grigor Dimitrov, local hero John Millman and US Open Champions Sloane Stephens, Naomi Osaka and Australia’s very own Sam Stosur.

Tickets to McDonalds Kids Tennis Day are on sale now via Ticketek. Children under 16 go free with a paying adult.
