Q&A with Kaia Kanepi

What was the highlight from your off season?

Long walks with my dog, Bossu.

What’s on your iPod?

Dance music.

The last movie that you watched?

I watched The Family … it was exciting.

Do you have any superstitions?

No.

If you could borrow a shot from another player, what would it be and why?

Serena’s [Williams] serve.

If you could have a superpower what would it be?

Probably Popeye – he eats spinach and gets strong. If I take that before matches it would be good!

What’s your ideal date night?

I don’t like dates at all (laughs).

Apart from tennis racquets, what would we find in your tennis bag?

Tennis shoes, clothes … just stuff I need for sport.

If you could trade places with anybody else in the world for one day, who would it be and why?

Probably a president … maybe the Estonian President to see how things are.

Goals for the 2014 season?

To play very well and to enjoy the game.
