Catch the match on the big screen

Fans unable to secure a ticket for Rafael Nadal’s keenly anticipated clash with Mischa Zverev on Thursday night can still soak up the atmosphere by catching the match on the big screen.

Hundreds of fans watched Jordan Thompson’s epic encounter with David Ferrer on Wednesday evening, creating a festival atmosphere in the Racquet Club.

The new ‘Free After Five’ initiative has proved a huge success so far, with spectators flocking through the Queensland Tennis Centre gates to watch some world-class tennis and experience the food and entertainment on offer.

Nadal will take to the court around 8.30pm to tackle world German Zverev, and with night session tickets now almost sold out in Pat Rafter Arena, the next best seat in the house is in front of the big screen in the Racquet Club, which is free to enter after 5pm.

‘Free After Five’ passes, which can be collected at the gates and are restricted to the capacity of Queensland Tennis Centre, will be available every night this week.
